Help Through Whatever Season You’re In
A place to land and connect with you again.
Going through a big life transition can be…a lot. Overwhelming, exciting, exhausting, maybe even scary.
Whether you are trying to start a family, pregnant, postpartum, navigating parenthood or going through peri/menopause, my work as a counsellor starts by meeting you where you’re at. By offering empathy and compassion, I want to support you to feel genuinely heard and understood. To have a space where you feel like someone gets it, where you don’t have to worry about judgment, and can start to reconnect with yourself.
As a counsellor with specialized training in perinatal and peri/menopause mental health, I’m also a mom and someone who’s “been through it too” - so, yes, I hear you. I see how hard you’re trying.
There are so many ‘should’s’ when it comes to parenting or managing peri/menopause. But I’m not here to add to that list. This isn’t about leading you to feel more overwhelmed than you already are, this is about acknowledging that it’s ok if you’re not enjoying every minute. Because this isn’t easy.
I’m about trying to figure out what works for you and what you need at this time of your life. All parts of you are welcome to show up in the counselling space - the messy parts and the hard parts that might be really tough to talk about. I don’t work from a one-size-fits-all approach - our work together is tailored to you and what you need.
I’ve had the privilege of witnessing people show up as their most vulnerable selves, during the hardest moments of their lives. I believe that when we are met with genuine care, connection, and empathy, we are able to find the strength and inner resilience to move through that really hard time in our life.
Doing it alone is hard - because we were never meant to.

How Did I Get Here?
I never expected to specialize in perinatal and peri/menopause mental health. Before becoming a parent, I was working as a counsellor supporting people with anxiety, depression, and stress management. Then I became a mom - pregnancy was hard, postpartum was a sleep-deprived fog, and I kept wondering: Am I just really tired, or am I just not very good at this?
When I returned to work and mentioned in my bio that I was a mom, other moms started reaching out. They wanted someone who would "get it." As I continued to work with more parents and had my second child, it became clear how under-supported people feel during these transitions. The pressure to "get it right," the guilt and shame, the well-meaning comments like "enjoy every minute" that actually make things worse. This is what led me to become Certified in Perinatal Mental Health, and later in Menopause Mental Health - because these seasons of transition deserve real, compassionate support.
I meet people as humans first. That means all parts of you are welcome - the messy, complicated feelings included. I work from a place of understanding before intervention, taking the time to get to know who you are, what works for you, and what you need from counselling. My approach incorporates mindfulness, self-compassion, somatic work and meeting emotional experiences with curiosity. I'm also trained in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and Trauma-Informed Stabilization Treatment. And while I take this work seriously, I also think humour has a place in the counselling space (which means I might share a bad joke here or there - apologies in advance).
I often support clients with…
Anxiety, depression, shame, trauma, grief and loss, relationship struggles, and identity exploration across pregnancy, postpartum, parenting, and perimenopause/menopause.
My hope is that counselling feels like a space that's just for you - to feel heard, witnessed, and be met with empathy and compassion.
Where Can You Start?
If this sounds like it resonates with you, please feel free to reach out. We can start with a free 15 minute consult call, just to have a chat - I can answer any questions you may have, and we can see if I may be a good fit for what you are looking for in a counsellor.
And no pressure at all with these consult calls - it's important to me that you find a counsellor that is a good fit for you. I know reaching out for counselling can feel hard, so I try to make it easy to take that first step. I look forward to chatting with you.
